Introduction:

The cis-trans mixture is a white crystal, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. The solubility is about 10%, and the melting point is 164-167°C. Trans-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid is a white phosphorus columnar crystal, which is less soluble in water than cis-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, and the melting point is greater than 300°C. Cis-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid is a white leaf crystal, which has considerable solubility in water, and the melting point is 170-171°C.

Uses:

Resin for powder coatings; resin for coil coatings; used in medicine to synthesize peptic ulcer drugs; used as a modified monomer in polyester resins; high-solid polyester-melamine baking enamel; unsaturated polyester resin for gel coatings. Application in waterborne polyurethane resins: 1,4-CHDA and AD (adipic acid) have good processability and low solution viscosity, followed by PIA (phthalic acid). Dispersion stability: 1,4-CHDA>PIA>AD. 1,4-CHDA can also achieve a good balance between hardness and flexibility of the resin. 1,4-CHDA can be used to improve the dispersibility of acrylic resins, while also having good storage stability. In addition, 1,4-CHDA has better coordination with acrylic resins than isophthalic acid (DOP). 1,4-CHDA has higher reactivity than PIA.
