Introduction:

White needle shaped crystals. Melting point 240-241 ℃. Easy to dissolve in aliphatic hydrocarbons, slightly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, and difficult to dissolve in water. This product contains two hydroxyl groups and one electron withdrawing sulfone group in its molecule, making it more acidic than other phenols.

Uses:

Used as a plating solution additive, leather tanning agent, dispersant for high-temperature dyeing of dispersed dyes, phenolic resin hardening promoter, resin flame retardant, etc. It is also an intermediate for pesticides, dyes, and additives. As a substitute for bisphenol A, it can be used as a raw material for polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polyester, phenolic resin, as well as polysulfone and polyether sulfone. This product is also used in the manufacture of color photography materials, contrast enhancers, thermosensitive recording materials (color developing agents), daily surfactants, and high-efficiency deodorizers. Fixing agent A can be prepared from bisphenol S as raw material.
